I'm not some palooka, I follow all the major global financial centres, I’ll cover the Rwandan angle later. So Forthlane is relevant because they go after the UHNW crowd and the key driver is one Robbie Pryde, who was a Pretty Big Deal at TD Securities. First, the Globe’s article covering the Forthlane / June Inc tie-up opens by saying that “wealth manager” Forthlane Partners acquired “rival” June inc. That article goes on to state the combined firm will have more than $2B in “assets under management” now that “founder [one] June Ntazinda and her clients are in the fold.” But if you search the central database of licensed Canadian capital market participants, you won’t find a recent entry for June (either the firm or the principal).
HNW shops
Forthlane and June Inc.
I examine whether UHNW advisor June Inc. was compliant with securities regulation in Ontario and Rwanda.
